Prepare to uncover a deeply moving chapter of local history as the true story of Monument Hill in Kangaroo Ground is revealed like never before. Mick Woiwod’s latest book delves into the harrowing impact of colonisation on the Wurundjeri people, whose ties to this once-abundant kangaroo-hunting ground were tragically severed. It’s a story of loss, resilience, and a reminder of the enduring significance of this sacred land.

The book will be launched by former Nillumbik Mayor Greg Johnson, a passionate advocate who has long worked to make Nillumbik Shire a thriving and vibrant community, making it “the most liveable municipality in Victoria.”
